About the Wine:

 

Vibrant and fresh, Vinho Verde literally translates to “young wine,” and Vidigal’s version is consistently one of the most critically acclaimed examples produced.  This has become a new best selling white wine.  Has a touch of bubbly too it and simply refreshing, which is why the New York Times rated it the best Vinho Verde coming out of Portugal in 2013.

 

Varietal: 50% Loureiro/40% Trajadura/10% Arinto

Origin: Portugal | Appellation: Vinho Verde D.O.C.

Elaboration:  Hand picked in small bins. Stainless steel fermentation. Unoaked.

 

Tasting Notes:

 

Citric color with pale greenish tones. Fruited aroma with hints of tropical fruits and flowers. Pleasant mouth with a slight effervescence and sweetness that combines well with the natural acidity highlighted with fruited and pectoral characteristics.
