Tierras Guindas Verdejo

About the Wine

With the desire to showcase the individual D.O. characteristics of their vineyard properties in the Castille y Leon region of Northwestern Spain, owners Ulpiano Gonzalez and Camino Pardo offer this 100% Verdejo from D.O. Rueda. Its ability to perform as an appertif and an accompaniment to seafood and regional dishes makes it an all around winner white wine. D.O. Rueda is internationally known for its ability to grow Verdejo with its rocky, alluvial soils and Atlantic climate. And with winemaking dating back to 11th Century A.D., this region of Spain has a long, long history of Verdejo cultivation.

Tasting Notes

Tropical notes of passion fruit and mango appear as well as bakery nuances due to being aged on fine lees. Less intense are the hints of golden apple and citric fruits. A clean wine on the nose. The palate is dry with perfect acidity, some meatiness and very long, with hints of white flowers (orange blossom, jasmine). Mineral notes from the terrior.
