About the Wine

Our Viognier is sourced from two Sonoma County vineyards. Hawley vineyard is located at the winery in Dry Creek Valley and has been grown certified organic since 2006. The other vineyard is down the road in the hills overlooking the Russian River Valley. We pick, press and ferment the two wines separately and blend the barrels together before bottling.

The long, mild growing season in 2013 provided ideas conditions for our Sonoma County Viognier grapes. Like the best Viognier vineyards in Southern France, our vines are all grown in rocky soil on wind-swept hillsides. And like the best Viognier producers in France’s Rhone valley, employ 100% barrel fermentation in neutral French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes

Our 2013 Viognier has aromas and flavors of white peaches, nectarines, and passion fruit with a touch of vanilla from the barrels. This dry wine has a silky mouth-feel and a beautiful balance to it; layers of fruit unfold as one glass leads to another.
