About the Wine

 

Ca'de Calle, (Calle's Place).  From a small-lot, gravity flow, reconditioned historic winery in the heart of Mendoza's acclaimed wine district, Luján de Cuyo, comes this fith effort at a Reserva wine.  It is a delicious blend of the best wines under their roof and is a marvelous mix of Malbec and Tempranillo, which go together surprisingly well.  After a few moments to air, this wine is easy to drink and memorable.

 

Varietal: 65% Malbec/12% Petit Verdot/10% Bonarda/8% Cab Sauv/5% Syrah

Wine Type: Red Wine

Origin: Argentina

Elaboration: Hand harvested grapes, aged 12 months in new and used French oak. Made using gravity flow!

 

Tasting Notes

 

Dark purple color. Forward nose of toasty plums, black cherry, and lilac flowers. On the palate the wine is rich and full, with layers of berry flavors and a hint of bittersweet chocolate. Finishes soft with balancing acidity.
