About the Wine

This naturally sweet wine, also called “soleado,”  – which means “lightness created by sunlight” – comes out of an extremely complex winemaking process invented by the Phoenicians in the year 800 B.C..  100 kg of grapes are needed just to make 16 liters of wine.  This golden treasure is the synthesis of the wisdom of the ancients and the technology of the New World.

Tasting Notes

A fantastic desert wine that is totally different from the sweet Ice or the ususal Muscat wines everyone is used to drinking.  Golden yellow color. Great aromatic intensity, with notes of apricot and peach confit and quince, combined with citrus aromas of lemon and grapefruit mixed with honey. It also gives aromas of fresh grape juice, and floral aromas like roses and jasmine. On the palate it is unctuous yet elegant, with excellent length and a complex floral aftertaste. Good balance between acidity and sugar.  Note: Let breath for a few minutes when opened to allow the alcohol smell to dissipate, then sit back, relax and enjoy.  Even if you don’t normally like sweet wines, this one is worth trying.  When a wine is compared to "lightness created by sunlight," you just gotta try it.
