Jubileo Mexicana Meritage
About the Wine
A Mexican wine? A good Mexican wine? You bet. While we were hesitant to even sample wine from Mexico, after trying this wine we realized that we were completely wrong about our perceptions that only good beer flowed south of the border. Jubileo wines are crafted by Green-Grow Vintners. Green-Grow is a partnership between an American gringo and Mexican fine-wine growers from the hills within Mexico's northern Baja, outside Ensenada. On the North side of Mexico's Guadalupe Valley, the vines thrive due to intense summer heat, cool nights, and comparatively lower water table. This is a very tasty blend of classic wines that go together just right that is made to go with Mexican food. Viva Mexico!

Tasting Notes
Bright purple color. Aromas of bing cherry, plum, espresso, wild herbs and vanilla fill the glass. More red fruit comes through on the palate, with plenty of acidity to keep things in balance. Finishes long, with supple tannins. This is a nice wine to drink on its own but also goes well with food.
