About the Wine

 

A blend of 60% Viura (volume), 30% Garnacha Blanca (acidity), and 10% Malvasia (honey tones), the Seleccion Familia is a house favorite white wine with Familia Fernandez. This wine has the ability to incorporate but not cover up the characteristics of each varietal. A very nice table wine.

Elaboration: Hand harvested, initial fermentation done in stainless steel tank then finished in 70% new and 30% one year old French oak barrels. Aged for 5 months in French oak.

 

Tasting Notes

 

With a medium bodied, rounded mouthfeel and mild, stone fruit nuances of peaches and nectarines, this white blend also shows savory acidity on the palate, making it superb with the salmon we love so much here in our Oregon-based office.
