About the Wine

Yes!  A Rose made from....Malbec!  With its vibrant deep red color and perfume, Basso's Malbec Rose is one of our staples for summer nights on the patio. New to the Basso line, this saignee method rose was the creation of Adolfo Basso, who was inspired by the numerous French roses he repeatedly came across while interning in Napa Valley.

Tasting Notes

Fresh and vibrant aromas and flavors of alpine strawberry, cherry, and marzipan, with a touch of vanilla from brief time in French oak.  Rich in style, this wine keeps its flavor and does not “water down” when poured over ice. Pairs perfectly with grilled or smoked meats.

Hint: While many find this unique Rose tasty in its own right, it becomes an even more memorable wine when mixed, yes, with a little orange juice and served in a glass with ice.  Almost like a Sangria without all the fuss.  Try it and see.
