Alberti 154 Merlot

About the Wine

Merlot is an overlooked varietal in Mendoza, yet the region's vineyards often churn out stunningly great examples. The thousands of acres of the grapes planted in Tupungato attest to this.  Like the other wines from Alberti 154, this is small production value-driven wine at its best!

Vintage: 2010

Varietal: Merlot

Wine Type: Red Wine

Origin: Argentina

Appellation: Tupungato, Mendoza

Elaboration: Hand harvested grapes. Aged 12 months in new French oak studded concrete tanks. Made using gravity flow.

Tasting Notes

Cherry red in color. Bright aromas and flavors of plum, boysenberry, chocolate, and wild herbs. Medium tannins and a soft finish make this a great everyday drinker.
